Avinash Sachdev wants to venture into filmmaking (TV Snippets)

Actor Avinash Sachdev, who is currently seen in the revenge drama "Ayushaman Bhava", says he wants to try his hand at filmmaking.

"I started my journey as an assistant director for the show Hatim and from that, my interest towards filmmaking developed. I even went abroad and attended workshops to understand what they teach. I want to do cinematography, editing as well as acting if given a chance," Avinash said in a statement.

The Star Bharat show's actor added: "I believe that any actor who knows direction can become a better actor and vice versa."

"Ayushaman Bhava" depicts the story of Krish, a boy next door who like children his age enjoys playing with toys and pulling naughty pranks. His family and friends dote on him. But Krish's innocent life takes a massive turn at the age of eight, when he starts getting flashbacks of some unfortunate events of his previous life.

Mouni Roy pays tribute to Madhubala

In an upcoming episode of "Lip Sing Battle", TV actress Mouni Roy will be seen paying a tribute to legendary actress Madhubala.

A source close to the Star Plus show's makers said: "When we approached Mouni, she was ecstatic about the opportunity and expressed her eagerness to come on the show as soon as possible."

On the show, Mouni, who will be seen competing with rapper Raftaar performed on the evergreen number "Jab pyaar kiya toh darna Kya" as a tribute to the veteran actress, Madhubala.

Farah had asked her if she'd like to perform on the song earlier in the day and she was thrilled because she is a huge fun of Madhubala.

A source said: "She dressed in the Anarkali get up and made sure that the costume resembled the original one worn by Madhubala and performed beyond expectation".

"Lip Sing Battle", an Indian adaptation of the successful international show "Lip Sync Battle", will see a string of A-listers not only from Bollywood but also television actors and sports personalities.

Each episode of the new show features two celebrities coming face-to-face as they are pitted against each other in a competition of winning by their ability to lip-sync songs.

Megha Gupta likes to explore cuisines

Actress Megha Gupta, who is seen playing the role of Samaira in revenge drama "Ayushaman Bhava", says she likes to explore her food palate.

"I am a big foodie and can never say no to food. I love samosas and can binge over it anytime. The word 'food' brings to my mind everything that is yummy and I like exploring various cuisines," Megha said in a statement.

The source from the Star Bharat show's set said that Megha is a food lover. She loves binging on fast food and can barely control her urge for it. She is one of those who will never say no to food, especially to samosas.

Shilpa Shetty gets yoga challenge on 'Super Dancer...'

Actress Shilpa Shetty was challenged by a contestant of "Super Dancer Season 2" to show her yoga skills.

Shilpa, who judges the dance based reality show, was challenged by a contestant Jyoti Ranjan to perform yoga on stage.

"Shilpa was stunned to know that Jyoti used Shilpa's yoga videos to master the art, so much so that he performs yoga now on a national level platform," said a source from the show.

"The actress performed yoga but insisted on sharing the stage with Jyoti, which the latter considers one of the best moments of his life. The duo performed yoga making the co-judges, Anuraag Basu and Geeta Kapur along with the audience give a standing ovation," added the source.

The show is aired on Sony Entertainment Television.
