Calling the late renowned Pakistani qawwali singer Amjad Sabri "a great singer", Bollywood singer Benny Dayal conveyed condolences to his family at IIFA.
"I don't know much about him but whatever I have seen, he was a great singer. I want to give condolences to his family and may God give them love and strength. I pray that his family gets strength to cope up this difficult situation," Benny told reporters at the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards green carpet here on Saturday.
Amjad Sabri was shot dead in Karachi's Liaquatabad area on Wednesday. His murder drew condemnations from across the country and the Indian subcontinent, where he was popular.
