"The state cabinet hiked salaries of contract teachers by Rs 3,000 per month," Cabinet Secretary Brajesh Mehrotra told media persons here.
He said the nearly 2.5 lakh teachers of primary school, middle school and high school would benefit from the hike.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had in his Independence Day(Aug 15) speech announced to hike salaries of contract teachers.
