It took just 10 hours for Bihar Police to file a chargesheet in a minor's rape case in Bhagalpur district, police said Tuesday.
"We have filed a chargesheet in a record time of 10 hours after the rape of a girl was confirmed by a medical report," Bhagalpur Senior Superintendent of Police Vivek Kumar said.
Pankaj Shah, who is in his 40s, was arrested Monday on charges of raping a five-
year-old girl.
"He was arrested in Sitarampur village after a complaint was filed by the girl's father. He was presented in a court which sent him to judicial custody for 14 days," a police official said.
Shah has two children and is a close relative of the girl.
Police said he lured the girl by promising her a packet of potato chips and raped her in the godown of his tent rental firm.
The girl was found unconscious near the door of her house.
