The team behind the screenplay of the movie "Birdman" was all smiles at the 72nd Golden Globe award ceremony here Sunday night as they walked away with accolades for their work.
Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, Nicolas Giacobone, Alexander Dinelaris and Armando Bo collected the award together for the movie, a black comedy about a faded Hollywood actor famous for his superhero role but now struggling to mount a Broadway adaptation of a story by Raymond Carver.
The "Birdman" pipped Wes Anderson ("The Grand Budapest Hotel"), Gillian Flynn ("Gone Girl"), Richard Linklater ("Boyhood") and Graham Moore ("The Imitation Game"), for the Best Screenplay - Motion Picture trophy.
