After being denied ticket to contest Bihar polls, BJP legislator Aman Kumar Paswan has expressed his anger and met senior JD-U leader and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday.
Paswan has also hinted he might join the JD-U (Janata Dal-United) to contest the upcoming assembly elections in the state.
He has blamed senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former union minister Shahnawaz Hussain for denial of ticket to a sitting legislator.
"I am a BJP legislator from Pirpainti assembly seat in Bhagalpur district. There is no logic to deny me ticket but I was denied, thanks to Shahnawaz Hussain," Paswan told the media here.
"I request party president Amit Shah to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to send a team of party leaders to enquire into any thing wrong with me and any charges against me. I am clean, my image is not tainted," Paswan said.
Paswan said his meeting with Nitish Kumar was positive.
"I have informed him about my plan. I will contest polls," he said.
Paswan will also meet Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad soon.
According to sources in BJP, the five party legislators ,who were denied ticket are unhappy and likely to switch their loyalty to other parties. The BJP has released its first list of 43 candidates late Tuesday night in Delhi.
The BJP is contesting 160 of 243 assembly seats and given 83 seats to its three allies -- Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), 40, Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP), 23 and Hindustan Awam Morcha (HAM) 20 seats to contest in the upcoming Bihar assembly polls.
