BJP MP Sanwar Lal Jat, who has been in a coma after a cardiac arrest last Saturday, was shifted to AIIMS on Thursday, his staff confirmed.
The parliamentarian, who was also a Union minister earlier, was being treated at the Jaipur-based SMS Hospital and was brought to Delhi by an air ambulance.
"Saansad (parliamentarian) ji was admitted to AIIMS around 3:30 p.m. today. The decision was taken after he was referred to the premiere hospital," the staff told IANS.
According to the staff, Jat is in the ICU of the hospital where his condition was being monitored.
Several party leaders like Nihal Chand Meghwal, apart from Congress party's C.P. Joshi, visited Jat at AIIMS.
