The Europe India Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its annual flagship event - Trade and Investment Partnership Summit - in Brussels on November 8, it was announced on Thursday.
Sunil Prasad, Secretary General of Europe India Chamber of Commerce (EICC), said that this year the theme revolves around "Europe and India: Anchors of economic stability in today's chaotic times", given the backdrop of Britain's recent referendum in favour of an exit from the EU and the steadiness of the EU as India's largest trading partner.
He noted that other trade bodies like Business Europe and Eurochambres, European Business and Technology Centre will join the EICC as co-organisers and joint partners of Trade and Investment Partnership Summit (TIPS) 2016, which will attract over 200 specially invited participants from India and Europe.
The panels will be addressed by a diverse group of political leaders and experts from industry, business and finance from Europe and India.
TIPS was created with the aim of fostering bilateral trade, investment and economic relations between the European Union and India.
Ravi Kumar Mehrotra, EICC chairman said: "It is in the EU's interest to cooperate with India, which is emerging in its own right - a giant Indian market exerts a gravitational pull for economic interests everywhere."
The one-day event will conclude with the launch of "The Modi Doctrine" - about Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's new paradigms for Indian foreign policy and Europe's central stake.
