The BSF has seized 16 kg of ganja in West Bengal's Murshidabad district while the contraband was being smuggled to Bangladesh, an officer said on Monday.
The seizure was made late on Sunday night by troopers of the Border Security Force's 43 battalion, under the Narsharipara border outpost.
"A special BSF team seized 16 kg of ganja while it was being smuggled to Bangladesh from India," said a BSF officer.
The troopers on May 5 had seized 6.5 kg of ganja in Nadia district.
The BSF has seized more than 307 kg of ganja from across the south Bengal frontier and apprehended five smugglers so far this year.
