An Indian Border Security Force (BSF) trooper has been arrested by Pakistan Wednesday after he crossed into the Pakistani side near Sialkot, the media said.

The soldier was taken into custody by Pakistan Rangers after he trespassed into the Pakistani territory in Sialkot's Bajwat sector, Dawn online reported.

He was later shifted to an undisclosed location for further questioning.

The arrest came in the wake of two countries accusing each other of cross-border firing.
