The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) on Tuesday expelled two senior leaders - brothers Kapil Muni Karwaria and Surajbhan Karwaria - for anti-party activities, a party leader said.
BSP zonal coordinator Indrajeet Saroj said that both were found involved in activities against the party line and were expelled from the party after approval from party chief Mayawati.
While Kapil Muni Karwaria is a former MP, his younger brother was an legislative councillor in Uttar Pradesh. Both the leaders are presently in Naini jail in Allahabad on charges of involvement in the murder of former legislator Jawahar Yadav.
