Caterham will continue to use Renault engines at least for the next three Formula 1 seasons.

The association of Caterham and the French manufacturer started in 2011 and they are also partners in the former's road-car business.

Red Bull and Toro Rosso will also use Renault engines in 2014 while Lotus too are expected to stick to them.

Caterham team principal Cyril Abiteboul said: "This announcement is obviously very good news for the team and is a reflection of the deep bonds that have been created between our two businesses since 2011, particularly with the roadcar project we launched in 2012 between Caterham and Alpine, which is now at an advanced stage in development."

F1 will see new regulations next year with 1.6-litre turbos replacing the 2.4-litre with V8s.
