The CBI Tuesday informed a court here that it will file a revised closure report in a coal block allocation case against JAS Infrastructure and Power Ltd. and others.

Special public prosecutor R.S. Cheema told CBI Special Judge Bharat Parashar that the investigating agency will file a comprehensive revised closure report.

The Central Bureau of Investigation submission came after it was pulled up by the court Aug 25 for not filing a clear closure report in the case.

The CBI told the court that the revised closure report will be more clear and detailed.

The court fixed the next hearing for Sep 23.

An FIR was lodged in the case on the allegation that JAS Infrastructure and Power Ltd. had allegedly received coal blocks illegally by means of inflating their financial statements and overriding the legal tender process.

The CBI had filed a closure report in the case due to lack of prosecutable evidence.
