Real Betis midfielder Dani Ceballos travelled to Madrid on Monday with permission from his club to undergo the medical tests to sign for Real Madrid for the next six seasons.
The 20-year-old Spaniard is currently on vacation after participating in the last edition of the 2017 UEFA European Under-21 Championship, in which he was named the Player of the Tournament, reports Efe news agency.
However, the midfielder has taken advantage of his break period to negotiate with La Liga champion, and Ceballos is due to conclude the deal for some 18 million euros ($20.5 million).
The clause of unilateral termination of the Spaniard's contract with Betis amounts to 15 million euros ($17.1 million).
Ceballos, who will turn 21 in the next few weeks, made his debut with Real Betis first team in April 2014, when he was 17 years old.
