Chubby beauty Chandni Bhagwanani harbours the big Bollywood dream, and she is now keen to lose a bit of her extra kilos. She is taking baby steps towards it by eating and drinking right, along with a good dose of jogging.
"I want to lose at least three to four kgs... if not more," Chandni, lead actress of popular TV show "Amita Ka Amit", told IANS over phone from Mumbai.
"In the show, I will soon start wearing short kurtas and patiala salwars, which can make me look fatter. Also, the character will now start wearing short sleeves, so I definitely want to reduce a bit on my arms.
"As it is, one ends up looking four times your actual size on the screen, so I want to tone up a bit to look just fine," added the 20-year-old.
Unlike many in showbiz, young Chandni is not sweating it out rigorously in the gym.
"I don't compromise on my food, but I am taking care to eat right every two hours. I eat green vegetables and fruits, and yes, I run! I find walking and gymming boring.
"A gym, I feel, gets monotonous with the same equipments and loud music. So I prefer running in an open environment, where there is some greenery and fresh air. I also cannot run alone, so I take my friends along to run," she added.
Recently, famed actor Ronit Roy had pointed out how the food on the sets is not palatable in terms of nutrition and hygiene. How does she manage her multiple diet requirements then?
"My mother is very sweet. She wakes up early morning and packs good stuff for me. Also, my co-star Nishad (Vaidya) stays barely two minutes from my place. So, his mother also packs food for me. I take fruits and vegetables, and he carries proper food," she said.
The right amount of sleep is also important for a sound health, and Chandni says that from the "four hours" of sleep that she used to get while shooting the initial episodes of the Sony Entertainment Television show, she now manages the luxury of a six hour sleep.
