Chelsea FC head coach Jose Mourinho has revealed that captain John Terry may miss the English Premier League (EPL) encounter against Tottenham Hotspur after injuring his ankle in a Champions League clash with Tel Aviv here.

The veteran defender went off the field during Tuesday's encounter that the English football champions won 4-1 at the Bloomfield Stadium.

"The score was 1-0 when John left the pitch and for that to happen, I know already that he is in trouble," Mourinho told chelseafc.com.

"My medical department is really good and John is a professional guy with a special desire to recover but to leave the pitch with the result 1-0, I don't believe too much that he can play at Tottenham on Sunday," the Portuguese tactician added.

The Chelsea coach also said that the injury happened due to a bad pitch. He also said that Ramires slid and had a muscular injury during a practice session on Monday.
