Chelsea confirmed the signing of Brazil under-20 international Kenedy from Rio de Janeiro outfit Fluminense, a media report said.
The London-based club confirmed this on Saturday. Kenedy, 19, has been training with Chelsea since July and joined them on their pre-season tour to North America, Xinhua reported.
No financial details were given but media reports in Brazil said Chelsea paid about 6.3 million pounds for the forward.
"It is an exciting time for me to join the English Premier League champions and I hope I can become an important player for the club," Kenedy said on Chelsea's official website.
"I very much enjoyed my time with the squad during pre-season and I am very grateful to Fluminense for allowing me this opportunity," the footballer added.
Kenedy will be the fourth Brazilian at Stamford Bridge, joining Oscar, Ramires, Willian and Nathan.
