Congress leaders from Telangana Wednesday ruled out any compromise on formation of Telangana state with Hyderabad as its capital.

The party leaders from the region have also urged the central leadership to take immediate steps to table a bill in parliament for carving out separate state in line with the Congress Working Committee's decision.

Senior cabinet minister J. Geetha Reddy told reporters after the meeting that they were confident that Congress president Sonia Gandhi would not go back on her word.

"If necessary, we will visit Delhi again to meet the central leaders to request them to table Telangana bill in parliament at the earliest," she said.

"We will not accept anything other than Telangana state comprising 10 districts with Hyderabad as its capital," she added.

The leaders felt that the demands for Rayala-Telangana or union territory status to Hyderabad were being made to create confusion and stall the process for formation of Telangana state.

They found fault with their counterparts from Seemandhra for leading delegations to Delhi, despite the leadership ruling our rollback of the decision.

They pointed out that all parties and people of Telangana had already agreed to the proposal to make Hyderabad a joint capital of both the states for 10 years.

Geetha Reddy said the leadership had also come forward to address concerns of Seemandhra employees by constituting a committee. She said everybody should abide by the decision of the CWC.
