Tamil Nadu Governor K. Rosaiah Thursday called for contributing to "peace, progress and prosperity" in his message to the nation on the eve of Independence Day Aug 15.
In a statement issued here, Rosaiah said: "Let us on this auspicious occasion resolve to dedicate ourselves to strengthen our national fabric and shoulder the responsibility of taking our nation to greater heights."
"May we pledge to uphold our nation's sovereignty and integrity and contribute our might for peace, progress and prosperity," he said.
