A second-half strike from Cruzeiro defender Leo has earned the defending champions a 1-1 draw with Botafogo in Brazil's Serie A championship.
On Saturday, right-back Edilson opened the scoring for the hosts at the Maracana stadium by heading in a Lucas cross in the 25th minute, reported Xinhua.
But Leo equalized by rifling into the net from Dede's header after an Everton Ribeiro diagonal ball.
The result left Cruzeiro six points clear at the top of the standings while Botafogo remained 14th.
Meanwhile, a late Rodrigo Souza goal secured a point for Criciuma against Sao Paulo at the Morumbi stadium.
The hosts had taken the lead just minutes earlier when former Benfica striker Alan Kardec netted after a Paulo Henrique Ganso through ball.
Sao Paulo rose to seventh with 20 points while Criciuma remained 12th on 15 points.
