Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal met union Home Minister Rajnath Singh here on Saturday evening, a Delhi government official said.

His meeting with Rajnath Singh took place a day after Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia revealed that Kejriwal had written a "secret note" to the union minister about allegations of corruption against M.K. Meena, a senior police officer and head of Delhi's Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB).

Kejriwal was accompanied by Sisodia during his meeting with Rajnath Singh.

Delhi government officials called it a "general meeting" not related to any controversial issue. Home ministry officials also did not divulge the details of the meeting but said local issues were discussed.

Sources said the central government was learnt to have conveyed to the Delhi government that confrontation over administrative appointments should be avoided.

Citing rules, the sources said the Delhi government does not have a say on issues of police and land.

They said the ACB had also been given powers of a police station and the Delhi government did not have a final say in appointments to senior posts.

The sources said Delhi was not a full-fledged state and could not seek deputation suo moto from other states.
