Delhi government to plant five lakh saplings in a day

To increase the green cover of the national capital, the Delhi government will plant five lakh trees and shrubs on September 8, Environment Minister Imran Hussain said on Friday.

Hussain inspected the site where the 'Mega Plantation Drive' organised by Forest Department will take place.

"Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will inaugurate this Plantation drive, more than five lakh plantations will be done in the National Capital," he said in a tweet.
