The Delhi Metro Sunday completed a 925-metre long tunnel in the national capital as part of its Phase III expansion plan, officials said.
The tunnel, between INA and South Extension Market in south Delhi, is part of the 58.467-km long corridor between Majlis Park in Mukundpur to Shiv Vihar of the Phase III network, to be completed by 2016-end.
The tunnel boring machine was lowered at the INA shaft in October 2013.
The Majlis Park-Shiv Vihar corridor consists of about 14 km of underground lines.
