Dev Goel, son of director Jyotin Goel, is set to make his debut as an actor and writer with comedy "Hum Hai Raahi Car Ke". He says he will be very happy if his debut film also becomes a hit just like the film "Rocky" proved for the Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone.

Stallone also made his debut as an actor and writer in Hollywood with the 1976-released film "Rocky". The film was a sleeper hit and even won three Oscars, including one for the best picture. It made Stallone a big star and went on to have five sequels.

All these five sequels were written by Stallone and also starred him.

"The only time when this (making debut as a writer and actor with a film) happened before it was in Hollywood, where Stallone wrote and debuted in the same movie with 'Rocky' and that went on to be a super-duper hit," Dev said here in an interview.

"So if I even achieve one-tenth of that, I will be very happy," he added.

"Hum Hai Raahi Car Ke" is a comic misadventure and tells the story of one night road trip of the two protagonists. The film has been directed and produced by Jyotin.

Besides Dev, the film also features Adah Sharma, Sanjay Dutt, Juhi Chawla, Anupam Kher, Rati Agnihotri and Vivek Vaswani.

Dev, who plays the main lead in the film, finds acting more enjoyable than writing for the film.

"I enjoyed the acting part much more. I will be honest with you, the writing part is very much 'like you have to think, you have to put your own thoughts, you have to spew out words...' but with the acting part you get to interact with so many people," Dev said.

"Even the things which you thought about the character, an actual actor can take that thought to a totally different level, so it's fantastic. You can see it come to life and you are having fun working with it," he added.

"Hum Hai Raahi Car Ke" hits the screens May 24.
