Dhir elected Delhi assembly speaker

M.S. Dhir of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was Friday elected speaker of the Delhi assembly.

Dhir's election came a day after Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal proved his majority in the 70-member house with the backing of the Congress, the Janata Dal-United and an independent.
