Discovery channel to air series on Mumbai railways

With Mumbai railways, considered to be the busiest transport system in the world, Discovery Network has taken the initiative to run a series delving into the lives of the people who play a significant role in running the railways here.

As the railways overcome huge logistical challenges everyday, the four-episode series will unravel the many lesser known facts about the busiest transport hub of India, scheduled to go on air on Monday, read a statement.

The line-up will highlight the city's transport challenges, a tete-a-tete with memorable characters, journeys in its special night trains, the nightlife of the city and a lot more.

The programme will also explore the scientific, technological, historical and human interest stories from across Mumbai's suburban network.
