Delhi Sports Journalists Association XI (DSJA) lost to Organising Committee XI by 35 runs in the inaugural match of the 43rd Goswami Ganesh Dutt memorial cricket tournament here on Saturday.
The annual Twenty20 tournament is played in memory of the its founders, late Dewan Chaman Lal Katyal and late Nihal Chand Maggo.
Electing to bat after winning the toss, the Organisers XI made 150/3 as Ravinder Bhola top-scored with 34 and Tarvinder Khanna Binny contributing 22.
In reply, DSJA XI could only manage 116/9 in their 20 overs, with Akash Rawal scoring a 47-ball 50 at the Roshanara club ground.
The tournament was inaugurated by councillor Satbir Sharma.
The organisers claimed that this was the first match in India in which a pink ball was used.
