Dubai, June 15 (IANS/WAM) Dubai Municipalitys Environment Department has distributed iftar meals to its workers in Al Aweer city.
The team distributed a variety of food items for Ramadan in reusable, recyclable and environmentally friendly bags with the participation of Marhaba Vegetables and Fruits Company and Al Marai.
Alia Al Harmoudi, director of the Environment Department said the initiative complemented the municipality's efforts to spread charity culture in line with the #Year_of_Giving initiative, said the report on Thursday.
The initiative was launched by President Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The initiative also aimed to perpetuate the values of charity work, and encourage volunteering as a constructive societal practice that contributes to consolidating social ties.
