Gremio have signed Ecuador international striker Miler Bolanos, the Brazilian club confirmed on Sunday.
In a statement on Twitter, Gremio said they secured Bolanos on a three-year deal from Ecuadorian outfit Emelec, Xinhua news agency reported.
China's Changchun Yatai and reigning Brazilian Serie A champions Corinthians were also reportedly interested in the 25-year-old.
Bolanos was the leading scorer in Ecuador's top flight last year with 25 goals from 34 matches.
He scored 61 goals from 105 matches for the Guayaquil-based outfit, whom he joined from the now defunct US Major Soccer league club Chivas.
Bolanos has been capped 12 times for Ecuador, scoring six goals.
