New Zealand pacer Trent Boult said Tuesday he is enjoying his rich bowling form after masterminding New Zealand's three-wicket win against Scotland in a World Cup Pool A game here.
Boult's devastating opening spell, in which he took two wickets from his very first two balls of the match, left Scotland reeling.
They failed to recover from the effect of the twin blow and succumbed to a score of 142 runs in 36.2 overs, setting up New Zealand's win, which they achieved with 151 balls remaining.
The left-arm pacer, who swung the ball prodigiously at the University Oval ground here, finished the match with figures of 2/21 from his six overs and was adjudged the Man-of-the-Match.
"Really enjoying my form with the white ball, and I continue to hope to make the most of the opportunities that come my way," said Boult at the post match presentation ceremony.
The pacer also said the pitch assisted him to swing the ball, noting that it swung a bit more than expected helping him achieve his impressive bowling figures.
"It felt pretty good. I thought the ball came out relatively nicely, plus the wicket assisted a bit too.
Everyone contributed and we got the job done in the end. It swung a bit more than expected, plus the pace was there. Glad things fell into place though," added the 25-year-old.
