European, Indian central banks sign MoU on cooperation

Mario Draghi, president of the European Central Bank (ECB), and Raghuram Rajan, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) governor, Monday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation in the field of central banking.

The MoU provides a framework for regular exchange of information, policy dialogue and technical cooperation between the two institutions. Technical cooperation may take the form of joint seminars and workshops in areas of mutual interest in the field of central banking, according to a press release issued here.
