Fans of Tamil actor Vijay Sunday unveiled a wax statue of their star at a theatre here.
The statue was sponsored by Facebook Vijay Fans Club.
Members of the club Sunday unveiled the statue, reportedly worth about Rs.1.5 lakh, at the Vettri theatre here.
The actor is riding high on the blockbuster success of Tamil actioner "Kaththi", which released Oct 22. It raked in over Rs.30 crore in its opening weekend worldwide.
Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, "Kaththi" also features Samantha Ruth Prabhu as the female lead.
Vijay is known for delivering hits like "Ghilli", "Thuppakki" and "Jilla".
