Unmanned aerial camera and plant protection system from China, electronic smart watering system and environmentally safe disinfectants from Britain and environment-friendly technology to collect straw from Germany will be part of focus on agri-technology that will be showcased at the 13th edition of the CII Agro Tech starting here on Dec 1.

Under the theme for this year 'Technology in Agriculture: Increasing Farmers' Income', technology for the agriculture sector to help farmers will be displayed at the biennial four-day event, a CII spokesman said on Thursday.

"A number of first time launches would take place at the four-day fair. While Canada would be showcasing its products like swine genetics, grain handling and storage systems and instant quick freezers, new techniques for soil testing, ovine genetics, and bacterial treatment equipment will also be launched," the spokesman said.

Great Britain would be announcing first-of-its-kind electronic smart watering system, environmentally safe disinfectants, pedigree pigs and genetics, new kind of packaging for long shelf life, besides other products.

Chinese companies will showcase unmanned aerial camera and plant protection system. The UAVs are being increasingly used for pesticide applications in East Asian countries such as Japan, Korea and China.

"A new kind of agriculture land leveller is also being introduced at the Agro Tech, which will not only save considerable time but also conserve resources, benefiting farmers with an increase in growth of up to 25 per cent. Groundnut Plater, Harvester, Picker and Sheller is being showcased for the first time in India," the spokesman said.

Round Straw Balers, the most environment-friendly way to collect straw from the field for ease in transportation and storage will also be introduced during the fair.

German companies are introducing techniques used for sowing wheat without burning of the rice residue. This technology is eco-friendly, preferable for the health of soil, and it also saves water, he added.

Machines for making wood from cow dung shall also be demonstrated.

The premier fair, which gets farmers from different parts of the country, will also focus on agri inputs and innovative farming techniques.

President Ram Nath Kovind will inaugurate the fair on December 1.
