National Conference chief and union minister Farooq Abdullah Friday met DMK president M. Karunanidhi here but said they did not discuss politics.

Abdullah told the media that while there were "some problems" within the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA), the issues would be sorted out. "By the grace of God, things would be better."

A former UPA ally, Karunanidhi has declared that the DMK won't join hands with the Congress in the 2014 general elections.
