Actor Orlando Bloom got a "new sense of responsibility" when his son Flynn was born five years ago.
Bloom says becoming a father to Flynn, who he has with former partner Miranda Kerr, has helped make him more compassionate.
"Being a father, you know, you kind of have a new sense of responsibility. (My) level of compassion has grown," Bloom told etonline.com.
Flynn was born in January 2011.
Because of fatherhood, Bloom's appreciation for Unicef and their international charitable efforts has only grown.
"I've seen the work that it does to actually make a difference in communities around the world and I couldn't be more honored to be a part of it and to celebrate 70 years," Bloom said.
