The Madras High Court has asked actor-politician Sarath Kumar to complete shooting for the much-delayed Tamil project "Vidiyal", which was launched in 2009, on or before August 31.
According to a civil suit filed by Films International Limited, Sarath Kumar had received a sum of Rs.92 lakh for the movie in 2009 and entered an agreement to complete the project.
However, the actor neither honoured the agreement nor returned the money. As a result, the production company moved the court.
"Sarath Kumar and the makers have to complete the remainder of the shoot on or before August 31. No further extension will be given to both the parties. If needed, extension shall be granted only after both furnish security to the suit claim," Justice K. Ravichandrabaabu said in his statement.
The film is directed by Selvaraj and also features actress Sneha as the leading lady.
