Five conmen active in the National Capital Region of Delhi were arrested here while they were planning to strike again, police said Friday.
Promod alias Modi (35), Harish alias Danny (55), Chanderkant alias Sonu (36), Sanjay alias Bablu (31) and Rakesh alias Naresh (36) -- all school dropouts -- were arrested near Ghata village.
"They were arrested by the crime branch of police from a deserted house near Ghata village Thursday night," Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Vivek Sharma said. A pistol, cartridges and several knives were recovered from them.
A court here Friday sent all of them to five days of police remand, the officer said.
