Three senior doctors attached to Goa's only state-run medical college have been booked for sexual harassment following a complaint by a medical student, police said Friday.
The student at the Goa Medical College and Hospital near here said in her complaint that the three doctors sent her sexually explicit messages, passed vulgar remarks and have been intimidating her since February 2013, a police spokesperson told reporters here.
"We registered an FIR (first information report) last (Thursday) night at the women's police station which deals with such cases. The complainant came to us some days ago. We were in the process of verifying the complaint," the spokesperson said.
The authorities at the Goa Medical College and Hospital have also set up a committee to probe the accusations made by the student.
