Flamengo will continue to be led by interim coach Jayme de Almeida for their Copa do Brasil clash against Botafogo Wednesday sathe club searches for a new head coach.
According to local daily O Globo, the Rio de Janeiro outfit has been unable to find an experienced replacement for Mano Menezes, who resigned Thursday following a 2-4 loss to Atletico Paranaense, reports Xinhua.
Former Fluminense coach Abel Braga has turned down an offer to lead the club while talks are reportedly being held with Andrade, who guided the club to the Campeonato Brasileiro title in 2009.
Another name linked to the vacant post is former Peru and Qatar coach Paulo Autuori, who was sacked by Sao Paulo earlier this month.
Flamengo, Brazil's most popular club, are currently 16th in the league standings with just 27 points from 23 matches.
