Foreign Secretary S. Jaishankar on Thursday briefed the envoys of 22 countries about the surgical strikes carried out by the Indian Army on terror launch pads across the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir.
"Foreign Secretary briefs envoys of 22 nations about #SurgicalStrikes," state broadcaster Doordarshan tweeted.
Eleven days after terrorists from across the border killed 18 Indian soldiers in Jammu and Kashmir, Indian Special Forces on Wednesday night targeted "some terrorist teams" positioned on the LoC, the military said.
"During these counter-terrorist operations, significant casualties have been caused to the terrorists and those who support them," Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) Lt Gen Ranbir Singh told media.
