British Formula One (F1) driver Jenson Button has split with wife Jessica Michibata after a year of marriage, his spokesperson confirmed on Wednesday.
The pair is said to have parted ways amicably after tying the knot last year in December. The marriage had taken place in Hawaii.
"Jenson and Jessica have decided to go their separate ways and it is very amicable. There is no one else involved," Button's spokesman was quoted as saying by the BBC.
The former F1 world champion and the Japanese-Argentine model had confirmed their marriage on Twitter on New Year's Eve last year.
The couple had broken up in 2010 after meeting two years back, but then patched things up to get married last year.
The 2009 World Champion drives for McLaren now.
