Director Pandiraj, who has roped in former lovers Silambarasan aka Simbu and Nayantara for his upcoming yet-untitled Tamil romantic-drama, says that the actors have been highly professional on the film's set and they are cordial while working together.

Seven years after their breakup, Simbu and Nayantara have teamed up for this project, which recently completed its first schedule.

"Both Simbu and Nayantara worked as true professionals, leaving behind their past and not letting their emotions come in between work. They were cordial to each other while working and maintained a professional relationship off the sets as well," Pandiraj told IANS.

The director wanted the right chemistry between the actors for the love story.

"This is a love story and it's very important for the right chemistry to be produced by the actors. Initially I was a little hesitant but after seeing them work together, my worries subsided. We have completed the first schedule on time," he added.

Nayantara and Simbu had previously worked together in 2006 Tamil romantic-thriller "Vallavan". It was after the release of this film they parted ways.

While Simbu is also currently shooting for a Tamil project with Gautham Vasudev Menon and awaiting the release of Tamil actioner "Vaalu", Nayanthara is waiting for the release of southern remake of "Kahaani" titled "Anaamika".
