Super specialty hospital chain Fortis Healthcare on Wednesday said it posted a standalone net loss of Rs.26.03 crore for the second quarter of 2015-16 against a net loss of Rs.5.09 crore in the same period last year.
Net loss increased by 411.3 percent on a quarter-on-quarter basis.
According to the statement of unaudited results posted on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the company's total income from operations fell to Rs.152.85 crore from Rs.157.52 crore while total expenditure also declined to Rs.183.10 crore from Rs.191.37 crore.
On a consolidated basis, Fortis Healthcare posted a net profit for Rs.33.98 crore in Q2 against a net loss of Rs.58.12 crore in the last quarter, while the total income from operations rose to Rs.1,097.05 crore from Rs.1,031.20 crore.
Fortis Healthcare incurred a total expenditure of Rs.1,026.05 crore in the analysed quarter on a consolidated basis against Rs.1,017.57 crore incurred in the same period of the previous year.
