French defender Bacary Sagna on Saturday signed contract with Serie A minnows Benevento Calcio, the Italian football club announced.
The 34-year-old has signed an initial contract which expires on June 30. However, he will be able to extend it.
"This morning, at the Caravaggio Sporting Village in Naples, an agreement was reached between Benevento Calcio and footballer Bacary Sagna," the club said in a statement.
"In the presence of President Oreste Vigorito, the French defender of Senegalese origin signed a contract that binds him to the Giallorossi club until next 30th June."
Sagna had earlier plied his trade for English football giants Arsenal and Manchester City.
