All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president Asaduddin Owaisi on Friday said fringe elements were the core of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government.
"Fringe elements are the core of Modi government," Owaisi said in a panel discussion at 'Agenda Aaj Tak' organised here, adding there was an "Islam phobia".
The Modi government was all about "claims, slogans and banalities" and it had "mastered the art of rioting", he added.
Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, the minister of state for parliamentary affairs, said: "Intolerance is that where people are beheaded for their religion. India is a country of love and it is in the DNA of the people to share love."
He added writers and artists returned their awards "only before the Bihar elections" and not later.
Naqvi also said that Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan spoke about leaving the country under a "fabricated and manufactured atmosphere".
