GMR Infrastructure posts higher net loss

Core sector player GMR Infrastructure Ltd closed the first quarter of 2014-15 with higher net loss compared to the figures of previous year's corresponding period.

In a filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the company said its consolidated net loss after taxes and minority interest stood at Rs.593.20 crore up for the first quarter up from Rs.326 crore posted for the period ended June 30, 2013.

The total Income has increased from Rs.2,688.77 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2013 to Rs.2,796.37 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2014.

The company's board that met Wednesday approved raising of funds up to Rs.2,500 crore thorough issue of non-convertible debentures, equity shares/equity linked instruments or any other securities.
