Government sponsors 100 research scholars to visit UK, US
To mark the 125th birth anniversary of B.R. Ambedkar, the Narendra Modi government on Tuesday announced that it has financed 100 research scholars to go on a week-long study tour to the world's renowned educational institutions.
As many as 50 research scholars, divided in two groups, will visit Columbia University in the US and the London School of Economics, a ministry of social justice and empowerment release said.
Two groups of 25 students each have already completed their tour, the statement said.
