Legendary playback singer Asha Bhosle says her new Gujarati album will be launched by Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel on August 20.
"My latest Gujarati album (is) being inaugurated by Gujarat CM in Ahmedabad on August 20, composed by the great Avinash Vyasji," Bhosle tweeted without giving further details.
The singer, lovingly called 'Asha Tai' by many, is known for bringing in a revolution with Bollywood songs like "Dum maro dum", "Piya tu ab toh aaja" and "Chura liya hai tumne jo dil ko".
Renowned for her extraordinary voice range, Bhosle has sung in several languages including Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, English, Russian, Czech, Nepali and Malay.
The veteran is also preparing for her US concert tour from August 28.
