Four people from Haryana's Palwal have been booked for duping a Gurgaon property dealer of Rs 90 lakh and a Nissan Treno car, police said on Friday.
Virender Singh, a resident of Gurgaon's Civil Lines area, was allegedly duped by four men from Palwal on the pretext of selling agricultural land.
Vijay Vashisht, Puran Chand, Jitender and Kalicharan have been booked for cheating, hatching a criminal conspiracy and using fake documents.
The accused showed over eight acres of agricultural land in a Palwal village and finalised a deal to sell it for Rs 5.60 crore. The accused took Rs 90 lakh as token money.
Police officer Satpal Singh said that a case was registered at the Civil Lines police station after a probe by the Economic Offences Wing.
No one has been arrested yet.
