The Haryana government on Monday decided to implement a multi-pronged strategy to effectively deal with the prevailing menace of air pollution in the affected districts.
At a meeting presided over by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar here, it was decided that for five days, the stone-crushers in the affected areas would remain closed.
Even brick manufacturing by the brick-kilns would be suspended, an official statement said.
Government hospitals would be functional during the night to deal with any emergency.
He said in order to prevent the occurrence of accidents on the national highway due to low visibility caused by the smog, the traffic police would be on high alert at night.
